This year, we’ve been busy painting more than walls—we’ve been painting memories, building dreams, and growing our Bella Vista family in ways we never imagined. As we wrap up 2024, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year that’s been nothing short of extraordinary. From welcoming a new member to our family to completing our largest project yet, we’re excited to share our journey with you.
The Biggest Milestone of All: Our Growing Family
This year, the Bella Vista team celebrated its most exciting addition—a new family member! Luis and I (Ashley) are over the moon to announce the arrival of our beautiful baby boy, Gianni. Born on 23rd October, this little bundle of joy has brought so much love, laughter, and maybe a little less sleep to our lives.
Starting and running Bella Vista Painting as a family business has always been about creating something meaningful for our family and yours. This newest addition has reminded us why we do what we do: to build a legacy, create a better future, and make every space we touch feel like home.
And let’s be real—our team members have been so ready to spoil the baby. Nicole already claimed the title of “Favorite Aunt,” and Kellyn has promised to teach Gianni the art of precision taping (in a few years, of course!). It’s been heartwarming to see how this little one has brought even more joy to our close-knit team.
A New Van and a Growing Team
2024 wasn’t just about expanding our family—it was also about growing our business. This year, we added a third van to our fleet, marking a huge milestone in our journey. It’s more than just a vehicle; it’s a symbol of how far we’ve come since 2018 when Bella Vista Painting was just a dream that Luis and I hoped to build.
The new van has already hit the road, helping us serve more clients across Portland and Vancouver with the efficiency and care you’ve come to expect from us. We’ve even joked about naming it—any suggestions? (Send them our way!)
The Biggest Project Yet: A Hotel-to-Apartment Transformation
2024 also saw Bella Vista Painting take on our largest project to date: the complete transformation of a hotel into a sprawling apartment complex. This project was a monumental undertaking, starting in October 2023 and finishing in August 2024.
Here’s what we accomplished:
- 17 exterior buildings painted to breathe new life into the property.
- 120 interior apartment units completed, creating fresh, welcoming spaces for new residents.
- Shared spaces, including a clubhouse, office, cabana, and pool deck, painted to perfection.
- Drywall work in 24 units, along with patching in all 120 units.
This project wasn’t just about painting walls—it was about creating homes. We poured our hearts into every stroke of the brush, every repair, and every detail, knowing that this transformation would impact countless lives.
One of our favorite memories from this project? Watching our team collaborate seamlessly, overcoming challenges like tight deadlines and unpredictable weather. The results were stunning, and we couldn’t have done it without the dedication and hard work of every Bella Vista team member.

Looking Ahead to 2025
As we look back on 2024, we feel nothing but gratitude—for our growing family, our amazing team, and our incredible clients and community who continue to trust us with their homes and businesses. This year’s milestones have set the stage for an exciting 2025, where we hope to continue growing, learning, and making spaces brighter and more beautiful.
Next year, we’re excited to pursue certification as a woman- and minority-owned business in Oregon and Washington, opening the door to new opportunities and projects. And of course, we’ll keep doing what we love most: transforming spaces and building lasting relationships with the amazing people we serve.
